Basic Information
Description EN
The digital WIM quartz sensor measures the load of wheels of vehicles traveling over its surface. It can be used to measure individual wheel and axle pressures, gross weight, balance of the left and right sides of the vehicle, dual tire mounting, tire inflation, advanced measurement validation, for traffic data collection, etc.
For maximum quality, the sensors must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and international standards (e.g. COST323).
Features EN
- Quartz Technology – high accuracy, low temperature dependency.
- Embedded Signal Processing – additional built-in sensing technologies enable novel features.
- Additional Built-In Sensing Technologies – vehicle presence detection, road deflection measurement and validation, temperature measurement and others.
- Independent Load Cell Measurement – wheel position, width, number of tires, travel direction, wheelbase, Pressure-In-Motion (PIM), tire footprint, lateral calibration.
- Two Rows of Load Cells – torque and breaking detection, rutting detection, advanced diagnostics.
- Innovative Design – high linearity over the entire sensor length.
- Low Height – minimal impact on road structure.
- Greater Width – improved accuracy (larger part of the tire is on the sensor) and lower side bending effect.
- Thick Abrasive Layer – longer road life thanks to the possibility of adapting the sensor surface to rutting.
- Various Lengths – installation in pavements with different widths, longitudinal joints, on road shoulder, etc.
- Various Cable Lengths and Daisy-Chain Connection – higher variability and potential savings during installation.
